The FIRST TEAM project has been launched

Feb 20, 2019

This month, we started working on a new research project funded by the Foundation for Polish Science as part of the FIRST TEAM programme. The project "Proteolysis-targeting strategies in bacterial systems for functional studies of proteins and improvement of antibiotics" aims at the development of compounds that can be used to study the function of bacterial proteins in a reverse genetics approach, and with the potential to transform the field of antibiotic discovery.

Two new team members were recruited for the project: dr Maria Klimecka as the experienced biochemist and mgr Matylda Izert as the PhD student. Welcome and congratulations!

We are very excited to work on innovations that could help combat the problem of antimicrobial resistance, and of bacterial infections in general.

We will be looking for another experienced researcher (a structural biology specialist) and two Master students later this year - so please contact us if you are interested in joining our team!
