2023 Nobel Week at the University of Warsaw

The Centre for Cooperation and Dialogue of the University of Warsaw organized the annual Nobel Week celebrations. Maria Górna was among the experts from the Department of Chemistry invited to comment on the live transmission of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry award ceremony.

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2023 was awarded jointly to Moungi G. Bawendi, Louis E. Brus and Aleksey Yekimov "for the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots".

Maria commented on the usability of quantum dots in biology and medicine. Polish Press Agency (PAP), Dziennik Naukowy, Bransit, and other media outlets covered this year's Nobel Prize in Chemistry, highlighting Maria's commentary. Maria gave interviews for Polskie Radio Trójka, 24. and Doxa and appeared briefly on the TV news program "Fakty" TVN.
