Natalia Karolak with TRI-BIO-CHEM studentship

Mar 1, 2018

We are happy to announce that Natalia Karolak, a member of our LIDER project team, won a PhD studentship in the TRI-BIO-CHEM programme. The programme is a joint interdisciplinary initiative of our Department of Chemistry with two other institutions: the Nencki Institute for Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Department of Chemistry of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Natalia will continue working on IFIT proteins and will investigate the structure and function of higher-order IFIT complexes (topic #23). The project will be executed in collaboration with Anna Filipek (Laboratory of Calcium Binding Proteins, Nencki Institute) and Paulina Dominiak (Electron Density Modelling Group), who serve as the official joint promotors.

The TRI-BIO-CHEM programme launched today with an official inauguration ceremony. We wish all the students the best of luck at tackling interdisciplinary problems!
