Kuba awarded Scholarship for best PhD students
Apr 15, 2024The Scholarship to Start celebrates the top students who have taken up studies at the University of Warsaw. In a ceremony held on April 10th at the Kazimierzowski Palace, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, has awarded the diplomas to the winners of the second edition of this competition. This year the award was conferred to 48 doctoral students who have started their studies in the 2023/24 academic year, including 14 winners from the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences. The ceremony was attended by the laureates, representatives of the University of Warsaw authorities and heads of teaching units. The amount of the Scholarship to Start for PhD students is 18 000 PLN.
Congratulations to our PhD student Jakub Kowalski for winning this award as a top PhD student of his cohort!
Kuba is currently pursuing his PhD studies working in the OPUS project "IFIT proteins in the regulation of inflammatory responses" funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (#2021/41/B/NZ2/02708).
