
Ammar Danazumi, BSc
Graduate student
Ammar was a student in the Master's in Biotechnology course at the Warsaw University of Technology. He was awarded a studentship in the Łukasiewicz Programme from NAWA Poland.
Ammar joined the lab to pursue a Master's thesis on FAST protein and its interactions, as well as to further develop his interests and projects on combating tropical infectious diseases.
In the winter semester 2021/2022, Ammar participated in Erasmus exchange in Groningen, NL.
Ammar won a competitive studentship for the year 2022/2023 in the BioLAB programme administered by Fulbright Poland which allows talented MSc or PhD students from Poland to spend a year working in a US laboratory. Ammar was offered the BioLAB studentship to join Engin Özkan lab at the University of Chicago, USA.
In 2022, Ammar took up PhD studies in cryoEM at KAUST.
