Biologists' Night
As has become our tradition, also this year we participated in the Biologists' Night (Noc Biologów) at the University of Warsaw. On Jan 11th we offered two workshops and laboratory tours Jak pracuje nowoczesne laboratorium? Wycieczka od genu do białka. by Daria Dawidziak and Natalia Karolak (on the photo below, Daria leads a group tour). Our student Mikołaj Kuska gave a lecture on intrisically disordered proteins O białkach inherentnie nieuporządkowanych. Wykład w ramach panelu biofizycznego. RNA club and Do Science! in Poznań
Maria Górna will give a lecture Jak zakończyć wirusowe RNA? Opowieść o białkach IFIT in the monthly meeting of the RNA club in Poznań. On Jan 30th Maria will talk about the IFIT proteins and their interactions with viral RNA.

Women in Science
On Feb 11th, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. On Saturday Feb 16th, The Polish Young Academy is organising an event "Zostań badaczką", directed at high-school and university students to encourage the participation of women in STEM careers. Maria will be a panelist representing life sciences from a point of view of a female research group leader.
