FIRST TEAM FENG award to Katarzyna Bandyra

Fantastic news! Congratulations to our amazing Katarzyna Bandyra who was awarded ~4M PLN for the FIRST TEAM project FENG.02.02-IP.05-0186/23 "Strukturalne podstawy dostarczania RNA do mitochondriów na potrzeby terapii genowych" by the Foundation for Polish Science.
The project aims at establishing the technology to import RNA to mitochondria - which may enable RNA-guided gene editing therapies of mitochondrial diseases.

The Foundation for Polish Science has resolved the first call for applications in the FIRST TEAM activity funded by the European Funds for the Modern Economy (FENG) program. Funds of more than PLN 101 million will be awarded to 27 projects (news in PL). Thanks to this support, new research teams will be established, in which young scientists will be employed and which will carry out innovative research with results that have practical applications.
